ORAL PIERCINGS

TONGUE PIERCING – The traditional placement for a tongue piercing is along the midline of the tongue, in the center of the mouth. It is often approximately 0.75 inches (1.9 cm) or so back from the tip of the tongue. It is placed with the top a little further back than the bottom, which allows the top of the jewelry to lean slightly back, away from the teeth, and toward the higher part of the upper palate where there is more room in the mouth.

SCOOP PIERCING - They are basically surface piercings on the tongue. The piercing is done on the top of the tongue only. It is done from side to side and has the appearance of 2 piercings. It is normally done with a long curved barbell.

LIP PIERCING – Can be done in several places on the bottom lip.Typically it is done directly under the pink part of the lip. For the initial piercing a captive bead ring or flatback barbell with enough room to allow for swelling is used..

VERTICAL LABRET PIERCING - They go straight up and down on the front part of the lower lip.The top bead is on the pink part of your lip and the bottom one is right where your lip and skin meet. Usually done with a curved barbell long enough to allow for initial swelling.

LABRET PIERCING - A piercing that is done in the center of the lower lip, usually done further down than a lip piercing. Normally done with a flatback barbell long enough to allow for initial swelling.

MONROE OR BEAUTY MARK PIERCING - This is a lip piercing done on the upper lip. It simulates the look of a beauty mark such as the one Marilyn Monroe has( that's where the name comes from). Usually done with a flatback barbell long enough to allow for initial swelling.

MEDUSA PIERCING - This piercing is done on the top lip directly in center of the dimple or philitrum. This piercing is traditionally done with a flatback barbell.

WEBBING PIERCINGS - These piercings can either be done on the top or lower webbing on the inside of the lip. Sometimes the upper webbing is called a "smiley" due to its appearance. It is usually done with a captive bead ring but curved barbells can sometimes work.

SNAKE BITES - Two piercings. One done on each side of the lower lip just below the pink part of the lip. For these flatback barbells or captive bead rings large enough to allow for initial swelling should be used.

* NOTE: All oral piercings swell

SURFACE PIERCINGS

BELLY BUTTON PIERCINGS - Are typically done on the top center of the navel, but can also be put pretty much anywhere on the bottom or sides. This piercing is should be done with a curved barbell.

EYEBROW PIERCING - Are typically done vertically right above the corner of the eye in the eyebrow area. But eyebrows are another piercing that can be done pretty much anywhere on the eyebrow either vertical or horizontal. These piercings can be done with either a straight or curved barbell. Captive bead rings can be used as well.

HORIZONTAL EYEBROW - The same as standard except the piercing goes horizontal with the eyebrow. Usually done with a curved barbell.

ANTI-EYEBROW PIERCING - This piercing is done on the face below the eye to contour the cheekbone. This piercing is done with a curved barbell.

BRIDGE OR EERL PIERCING - Simular to a eyebrow piercing, but this one goes horizontally in between the eyes. It is typically done with a straight or P.T.F.E barbell.

VERTICAL TRAGUS - A surface piercing done vertically and directly in front of the tragus. This piercing is usually cone with a curved barbell. And since it does not go into the cartilage it heals faster.

WRIST PIERCING - A surface piercing that goes horizontal across the wrist right above the wrist bone where the skin does not flex as much. At Aces High we do most surface piercings with P.T.F.E barbells. P.T.F.E is a surgical grade plastic that is flexible and autoclaveable. P.T.F.E also lasts a long time and is very strong so you don't have to worry about it breaking or having to change the barbell.

MADISON - A surface piercing done on the front of the neck directly above the collarbone in the center . This piercing is done with P.T.F.E.

CUSTOM SURFACE PIERCINGS - Basically as long as there is enough loose skin to lift up, you can pierce it. Some of the more common places are the nape or back of the neck, hips, collar, sternum, jaws etc. These piercings we do with P.T.F.E to allow flexibility.

GENITAL PIERCINGS

NIPPLE PIERCINGS - These piercings can be done either vertically or horizontally. Horizontally they can be pierced with barbells or captive bead rings. For Vertical it is better to do the piercing with a barbell so the jewelry can sit closer to the body.

MALE

PRINCE ALBERT - This is a male genital piercing that goes in the urethra and out at the bottom of the head, just in front of the shaft. This piercing is done with a 10 gauge captive bead ring.

REVERSE PRINCE ALBERT - Same as the standard except this one comes out on the top of the head. This piercing is done with a 10 gauge captive bead ring.

FRENUM - This is a genital surface piercing that can be done anywhere along the shaft on the top or bottom. This one can be done either a captive bead ring or curved barbells.

DYDOE - This piercing is done on the head of the penis. It starts in the middle of the head and comes out right where the shaft meets the head. This is typically done with curved barbells, but can also be done with captive bead rings if requested.

AMPALLANG - This piercing goes horizontally through the head of the penis. It can either be done transurethral or just above the urethra. This is one of the most painful genital piercings to get. It is traditionally done with a 10 gauge straight barbell.

APADRAVYA - This piercing goes vertically through the head of the penis and has to be done transurethral. It is basically a prince albert and a reverse prince albert in one piercing. This one is also done with a straight 10 gauge barbell.

SCROTAL PIERCINGS - These piercings can be done basically anywhere on the scrotum. Either done with a captive bead ring or barbells.

FEMALE

CLITORAL HOOD - This piercing is done on the little piece of skin directly above the clitoris also known as the hood. The objective of the piercing is to place the jewelry so that is hangs directly on the clitoris so whenever there is movement of the piercing it creates stimulation in that area of the body. Traditionally done with a captive bead ring.

VERTICAL HOOD- This piercing goes vertically through the clitoral hood with the same objective as the standard hood piercing. This piercing should be done with a curved barbell.

CHRISTINA - This is basically a vertical surface piercing done just above the clitoral hood and into the pubic region. This piercing is just for looks, meaning it does not increase any sensation to that area. This piercing should be done with either a curved barbell or P.T.F.E depending on the desired length of the piercing.

INNER LABIA - This piercing is done on the inner labia or inner lips of the vagina. This is another one that is pretty much just for looks, no increased sensation is associated with these piercings. They are traditionally done with captive bead rings.

OUTER LABIA - Same concept as the inner labia, just this one is done on the outer labia or outer lips of the vagina. Same thing this one is pretty much just for looks. No increased sensation in involved with this piercing. They are typically done with a captive bead ring.

NOSE PIERCINGS

NOSTRIL PIERCING - This piercing can be done on either side of the nose. Typically it is placed in the crease of the nose. We do the initial piercing with a nostril screw that can have gemstones on it, or a captive bead ring.

SEPTUM PIERCING - This piercing is done in the lower center of the nose inside the nostrils. It is one of the more painful piercings you can get. Most people recognize it because it looks like a bull ring. It is traditionally done with a circular barbell.

EAR PIERCINGS

LOBES - Standard ear piercing. We do all of our piercing even ear lobes with single use hollow needles. NO PIERCING GUNS!!!! it is more sterile and LESS painful to do it this way. You can either pierce them with captive bead rings or straight barbell.

CARTILAGE PIERCINGS - These are also a pretty standard piercings that can be place anywhere on the upper part of your ear. Traditionally the piercing is done with a captive bead ring.

INDUSTRIAL PIERCING - An industrial , is any two pierced holes connected with a single straight piece of jewelry however, it typically refers to a double perforation of the upper ear cartilage specifically. Two piercings are made, one fairly close to the head (anti-helix piercing) the second further down the cartilage, on the opposite side of the ear piercing. A straight barbell is inserted through the first piercing from behind the ear, travels diagonally across the front of the upper cartilage, then goes through the second piercing, and is secured with a screw-on bead behind the second hole.

VERTICAL INDUSTRIAL OR CAGE - Same principal as the standard industrial but this one goes vertically through the conch of the ear or inside cup of the ear. This one as well should always be done with a straight barbell.

TRAGUS PIERCING - This is the little piece of cartilage that is in front of the ear canal. It is one of the easier cartilage piercings to get. It is traditionally done with a captive bead ring.

ANTI - TRAGUS PIERCING - This is the small bulge of cartilage just above the ear lobe and is one of the more painful cartilage piercings. It can be done with a captive bead ring or a curved barbell.

ROOK PIERCING - This is the top crease of cartilage inside your ear and nowadays has become a pretty popular piercing. This one is traditionally done with a captive bead ring.

DAITH PIERCING - This is the lower crease of cartilage inside your ear just below the rook. It is done with a captive bead ring.

HELIX PIERCING - This piercing is basically the front of an industrial piercing but done with a captive bead ring instead. It sits nice and flush with the head which makes for a more comfortable healing process.

CONCH PIERCING - This piercing is done on the inner cup of the cartilage and is also one of the easier cartilage piercings to get. This piercing is normally done with a straight barbell.

SNUG PIERCING - This piercing is done horizontally through the outer cup of the conch. It can be done with either a curved bb or captive bead ring.
